    Description

The American Institute for Cancer Research’s Marilyn Gentry Fellowship supports emerging leaders in diet, nutrition, and cancer research. Run in partnership with the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, the program gives early-career investigators a mentored research environment focused on nutritional research for cancer prevention and survivorship. Its goals reflect AICR’s mission to increase understanding of the relationship between nutrition, lifestyle, and cancer.

Fellows have access to the resources of the Institute for the Advanced Study of Diet, Nutrition and Cancer and the Michael Hooker Research Center at UNC’s Gillings School of Global Public Health. The fellowship combines research support with leadership development, helping investigators contribute to understanding cancer while developing as future leaders in the field.
