Description
The Aileen Hughes Award, part of the Chesapeake Bay Trust's Keep Maryland Beautiful program, honors individuals who have demonstrated exceptional leadership in land conservation within Maryland’s land trust community. The award is made annually to a Maryland land trust in recognition of an individual’s achievements, with the aim of promoting excellence, innovation, and collaboration in the stewardship and protection of Maryland's natural and cultural resources. The program is named for Aileen Hughes, a noted conservation leader and advocate for civil and women's rights.
