--- ## Description The program is designed to maintain a formal link with past recipients of the Kent D. Peaslee Junior Faculty Award (KDP JFA), encouraging their continued engagement with the steel industry and promotion of steel-related education and research at their universities. The designation of "AIST Foundation Steel Professor" supports faculty in fostering student interest in steel industry careers, organizing steel-focused events, and increasing awareness of opportunities within the sector. The program is intended to amplify the impact of previous AIST Foundation investments in faculty and universities, and to build a robust pipeline of students for the steel industry. --- ## Due Dates - Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. --- ## Funding Amount - Recipients may remain in the program for up to ten (10) years, as determined by the AIST Foundation Board of Trustees. - An additional $5,000 may be awarded to professors who exceed student application targets for the AIST Foundation Steel Intern Scholarship program (eligible once every three years). - No overhead costs are permitted; funding is intended for student-focused activities. --- ## Eligibility - Open only to professors who have received and successfully completed three years of the Kent D.
