Description
The American Association for Anatomy (AAA) presents this award periodically to a member distinguished in the anatomical sciences who has provided exceptional service to the Association and/or mentorship within the discipline. It recognizes service and mentorship rather than funding a defined research project. Nominations document the nominee’s qualifications and contributions, with review by a committee appointed by the AAA president.
The award also supports the recipient’s participation in the 2027 Anatomy Connected Meeting through travel reimbursement and complimentary registration. Support covers eligible transportation, lodging, and meals within specified limits. The recipient receives an award plaque at the meeting’s Closing Awards Ceremony.
