The Alan S. Pearlman Research Award is administered by the ASE Foundation with support from Elsevier. Established in 2018, it honors Dr. Pearlman’s ten years of service as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of the American Society of Echocardiography (JASE). The annual award recognizes original research illustrating new developments in cardiovascular ultrasound, presented at ASE’s Annual Scientific Sessions.
The award is part of the Foundation’s recognition of its Top Investigators, a group of early career abstract presenters selected by the Abstract Chairs for the scientific merit of their research. While the broader Top Investigators program provides grants to offset Scientific Sessions travel expenses, the Pearlman award gives special recognition to the overall highest scoring early career investigator. The meeting’s research program features work from around the world.
