Description
The Alaska Clean Water Actions Grant, administered by the Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC), funds projects that address water quality issues throughout Alaska. The program aims to reduce nonpoint source pollution, develop and implement watershed plans, conduct public outreach and education, and monitor water quality or the effectiveness of management strategies. Funding is available for a broad range of initiatives, from on-the-ground best management practices (BMPs) to public education campaigns and scientific monitoring efforts. Projects must align with one of the program’s four Action Categories and demonstrate a clear benefit to water quality.
