Description
The Alaska Space Grant Program (ASGP) supports summer industry internships connecting students with participating companies in Alaska. Opportunities include spaceport operations at Alaska Aerospace, aircraft manufacturing at Helio Alaska, field investigations at Logic Geophysics & Analytics, and biomedical research at Be Cool Pharmaceutics. Interns undertake sustained project work, generally for 10 weeks at approximately 40 hours per week, with awards subject to NASA funding availability.
The program also emphasizes documenting and publicly sharing students’ experience and accomplishments. Recipients submit a report, give a public presentation, and acknowledge ASGP support in project-related materials. ASGP periodically surveys awardees about subsequent academic and career plans for tracking, reporting, and improving its consortium programs.
