Description
Albertine Music, funded by FACE Foundation and organized by Albertine Foundation and Villa Albertine, supports musical projects between French and American artists and ensembles. It covers jazz and classical music, from Baroque to contemporary, with the goal of deepening musical dialogue between France and the United States.
The program supports three areas: creation, education, and performing. Creative Grants encourage jointly conceived original works, commissions by American ensembles to French or France-based composers, and U.S. premieres of French works. Educational Grants support master classes, workshops, and short-term teaching residencies in U.S. academic institutions and schools. Touring Grants support U.S. tours by French or France-based musicians and ensembles. Separate jazz and classical music juries select projects.
