    Description

This program funds collaborative musical projects between French and American artists and ensembles in jazz and classical music (from Baroque to contemporary). The grant supports three main areas:

    • Creation: Commissions, new works, and original collaborations.
    • Education: Artistic and educational exchanges, including master classes, workshops, and short-term residencies in U.S. schools and universities.
    • Performing: International tours and performances, particularly by French or France-based musicians in the U.S.

Distinct juries for jazz and classical music ensure tailored project selection. Priority is given to projects featuring underrepresented artists, new generations of composers, women, and those reflecting diversity and inclusion. Selected musicians may also engage with younger audiences through French language immersion programs in U.S. public schools.
