Description
Albertine Visual Arts – Étant donnés is run by Albertine Foundation and Villa Albertine, with support from FACE Foundation, to foster contemporary visual arts exchanges between France and the United States. The program introduces artists whose work has rarely, if ever, been shown in the other country and encourages lasting partnerships among artists, collectives, curators, and cultural institutions. It supports emerging and established artists, prioritizing co-productions and new commissions.
Creative Grants support nonprofit institutions organizing exhibitions and production projects presenting French or France-based artists in the United States and American artists in France. Curatorial Fellowships, offered with Independent Curators International, support American curators researching the French visual art scene. These fellowships encourage deeper exploration of French cultural resources and exchanges of ideas among artists, professionals, researchers, and institutions.
