The fellowship provides recipients with the opportunity to spend up to three months in observational training at a North American host facility, ideally under the mentorship of Dr. Castaneda’s mentees. The goal is to advance the skills and careers of Latin American surgeons in congenital heart surgery and promote the exchange of knowledge and expertise across borders.
