Summary: Supports early-career Latin American congenital heart surgeons with up to three months of observational training in North America.
This fellowship, established by the AATS Foundation in partnership with the World Society for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Surgery, provides Latin American congenital heart surgeons within their first ten years of practice the opportunity to undertake up to three months of observational training at a host facility in North America. The program aims to foster professional growth, knowledge exchange, and skill development for early-career surgeons focusing on congenital heart surgery, ideally with mentorship linked to Dr. Aldo Castañeda’s legacy.
