Description
The ALISE Leadership Development Grant is designed to cultivate the next generation of leaders in library and information science (LIS). Established in 2024 by the Association for Library and Information Science Education (ALISE), the program combines conference participation, structured mentoring, and hands-on involvement in association governance. Recipients join a cohort of interns, participate in leadership development sessions, exclusive networking events, and association activities, and undertake a group project to address organizational needs. Each intern is paired with a mentor through the ALISE Emerging Scholars Program, deepening their engagement with the LIS community and preparing them for future leadership roles.
