Description
The Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program supports scholars, professionals, and artists undertaking teaching, research, combined teaching/research, or professional projects at appropriate institutions in Bahrain. Projects may include undergraduate or graduate teaching, research chosen by the scholar or host, student mentoring, and faculty, curriculum, or program development. Professional projects can involve organizational visits, exchanges of expertise, practical experience, public lectures, and artist residencies.
The award strengthens relationships between people in the United States and Bahrain through academic exchange and community engagement. All disciplines are welcome, with particular interest in work that contributes to Bahrain’s economic future through fields such as the arts, economic development, banking and finance, and entrepreneurship. Scholars may also be asked to give public talks, mentor students, and engage with their host communities.
