Description
The Fulbright Scholar Program’s All Disciplines award supports teaching, research, teaching/research combinations, and professional projects in Bulgaria. Coordinated with the Bulgarian-American Fulbright Commission, it promotes collaboration with local institutions and strengthens mutual understanding between people in the United States and Bulgaria. Projects across disciplines, including interdisciplinary work, are welcome.
Activities may include undergraduate or graduate teaching, thesis advising, collaborative research, curriculum development, consultation, capacity building, and training. Professional projects can involve NGOs and academic or non-academic institutions. Scholars may also contribute through seminars, performances, public lectures, and mentoring. Teaching-only proposals are welcome, but applicants are encouraged to include research or professional work because hosts may not offer a full teaching load. There is no preferred teaching/research split.
