Description
This Fulbright U.S. Scholar award supports community college faculty and experienced professionals across all disciplines in the Slovak Republic. Applicants may propose teaching or a professional project at an appropriate host institution. Teaching awards involve at least two undergraduate or graduate courses, together with student mentoring, curriculum development, or program enhancement. Professional projects focus on education, training, or capacity-building, with clear benefits for professional growth, the field, a home institution, or a community.
The J. William Fulbright Commission for Educational Exchange in the Slovak Republic administers the program with support from the Slovak and U.S. governments. Activities may include exchanging expertise, public lectures, mentoring, artistic work, and preparing publications. Engagement with host institutions and local communities advances Fulbright’s goals of mutual understanding and international cooperation.
