Description
This Fulbright Scholar award supports research at CSIC institutes throughout Spain, connecting U.S. scholars with host research groups across all disciplines. CSIC’s three core areas—Life, Matter and Society—encompass humanities and social sciences, food science and technology, biology, biomedicine, physics, chemistry and materials, natural resources, and agricultural sciences. Projects may be proposed by applicants or designated by their hosts.
Research must be the main activity. Up to 20% of working time may involve teaching through guest lectures, workshops and seminars. The award also advances Fulbright’s mission of international understanding and cooperation: scholars may be asked to give public talks, mentor students and engage with their host communities. The research location depends on the project’s fit with CSIC’s existing groups.
