This Fulbright Scholar Award enables U.S. scholars to pursue research or a combination of research and limited teaching at the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), Spain’s largest public research institution. CSIC comprises 121 research institutes and centers distributed across Spain and covers a diverse array of scientific fields, including life sciences, physical sciences, engineering, social sciences, and interdisciplinary research. Awardees may propose projects in any discipline, either designated by the host or of their own choosing, and are encouraged to collaborate with local research groups. Up to 20% of the scholar’s time may be allocated to teaching activities, such as guest lectures or workshops. The program is designed to foster international collaboration, public engagement, and the dissemination of research outcomes.
