Description
This Fulbright U.S. Scholar award supports teaching, research, or combined teaching/research projects across all disciplines in Egypt. Administered locally by the Binational Fulbright Commission in Egypt, it places scholars at public or private universities and research institutions. Scholars may pursue research of their choosing, teach undergraduate or graduate courses, mentor students, and contribute to faculty, curriculum, and program development.
The program promotes mutual understanding and cooperation between Egypt and the United States through academic and community engagement. Activities can include seminars, workshops, public talks, and collaboration with host faculty. Teaching-only awards involve approximately 12 teaching hours weekly, or three courses per semester. Combined awards involve approximately six teaching hours weekly, or two courses per semester, alongside research.
