Description
This Fulbright U.S. Scholar award supports research, teaching, or a combination of both at institutions in El Salvador, including universities, NGOs, and research centers. Scholars may propose their own research or courses, undertake host-designated work, mentor students, develop curricula and programs, or provide faculty and in-service teacher training. The exchange aims to strengthen relationships between people in the United States and El Salvador through academic collaboration and host-community engagement.
All disciplines are considered. Institutional interests include curriculum and academic credit design as universities transition to a credit-based system, and development of degree programs taught in English. Other highlighted fields include engineering, computer science, education, business management, entrepreneurship, textiles, nursing, anthropology, and literature. Scholars may also be asked to give public talks and engage with the host community.
