Funding Amounts: $3,600 per month for 4–7 months, depending on activity, plus travel and applicable allowances

Key Information: A host invitation is required; academic placements require a terminal degree, with limited exceptions for artists and professionals.
Description
Administered through the Fulbright Commission in Nepal, this award supports academic, professional, and artistic exchange that strengthens relationships between people in the United States and Nepal. Research projects address clearly defined questions through independent work or collaboration with Nepali universities and research institutions. Professional projects connect participants with institutions, communities, and practitioners to exchange expertise, develop artistic work, or explore professional practices.
All disciplines are welcome, with particular interest in business, engineering, medical and biological sciences, arts and social sciences, and education. Teaching/research placements combine classroom instruction with research and may include student mentoring and faculty, curriculum, or program development. Scholars may also be asked to give public talks, mentor students, and engage with host communities.
