Description
This Fulbright U.S. Scholar award supports research, teaching, or a combination of both in all disciplines in the Palestinian Territories (West Bank). Scholars may teach undergraduate or graduate courses, pursue their own or host-designated research, mentor students, and assist with faculty, curriculum, or program development. The teaching/research balance is agreed between the scholar and host institution, without a prescribed ratio.
The program strengthens partnerships between U.S. and Palestinian universities, shares expertise, and enhances local education while promoting international understanding. Scholars may also give public talks and engage with the host community. U.S. Embassy Jerusalem confirms host affiliations. Travel and residency restrictions may limit research time and facilities, so project feasibility is particularly important.
