Description
This opportunity offers U.S. postdoctoral researchers in any academic discipline the chance to conduct independent research at any accredited institution of higher education in Israel. The fellowship is designed to foster academic and cultural exchange, supporting research for up to 20 months (two academic years). In addition to research, fellows are encouraged to participate in public talks, student mentoring, and community engagement, furthering the Fulbright Program’s mission of promoting international understanding between the U.S. and Israel.
Scholars are responsible for arranging their host institution affiliation and research program through direct contact with potential hosts. Official postdoctoral status at the Israeli host institution is required, which provides access to campus resources. The program welcomes innovative projects across all fields.
