Description
The Fulbright Scholar Program’s postdoctoral research award supports early-career scholars undertaking research across all disciplines in Spain. Scholars may propose their own project or conduct research designated by a host institution. Supported research includes scientific, qualitative, quantitative, and practice-based work, including artistic research, in settings such as laboratories, archives, the field, and artist residencies.
The award promotes international research experience, collaboration, and lasting professional connections between researchers in the United States and Spain. Alongside their research, scholars may be asked to give public talks, mentor students, or engage with their host communities. Lectures, seminars, and workshops should be coordinated with the host institution or the U.S.–Spain Fulbright Commission. The broader goal is to strengthen international understanding and cooperation through academic exchange.
