Description
This Fulbright U.S. Scholar award supports teaching or teaching combined with research at designated universities in Rwanda. Scholars teach undergraduate and possibly graduate courses, assist with curriculum development and faculty training, advise students, and supervise theses. Research in the scholar’s specialization must accompany teaching responsibilities rather than form a research-only project.
Projects are welcomed across all disciplines. Preferred fields include higher education administration; arts, humanities, and journalism; entrepreneurship, commerce, business, economics, and finance; STEM; medical sciences and physical therapy; agriculture; and veterinary medicine. Sponsored by the U.S. government through the Department of State, Fulbright seeks to strengthen relationships between Americans and Rwandans and promote international understanding. Scholars may also give public talks, mentor students, and engage with their host community.
