Description
The Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program supports teaching, research, combined teaching/research, and professional or artistic projects in Saudi Arabia across all disciplines. The award promotes mutual understanding, academic exchange, and institutional partnerships between the United States and Saudi Arabia. Projects may involve undergraduate or graduate teaching, scholar- or host-proposed research, organizational visits, practical professional experience, artist residencies, exhibitions, or performances.
Scholars may also mentor students, supervise theses, develop faculty or curricula, and deliver seminars, workshops, public lectures, or consultations. Teaching is encouraged where appropriate but is not required, and the balance of teaching and research is agreed with the host. Scholars are expected to engage with their host university community and may undertake public outreach or presentations elsewhere in Saudi Arabia.
