Description
This Fulbright U.S. Scholar award supports a combination of teaching and research at Universidad de Alcalá, a public university in Alcalá de Henares, Spain. Projects are welcomed across all disciplines. Selected scholars conduct a research project and teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses designated by the host institution. Activities take place at the Historic, Science and Technology, or Guadalajara campus, depending on the discipline.
The award advances Fulbright’s mission of strengthening relationships between people in the United States and other countries through academic exchange, international understanding, and cooperation. Alongside their primary academic activities, scholars may be asked to give public talks, mentor students, and engage with the host community. The university emphasizes innovative research and teaching excellence responsive to social change.
