Description
This Fulbright U.S. Scholar award supports research, teaching, combined teaching/research, and professional or artistic projects at any accredited institution or research center in Uruguay. Projects are welcomed across all disciplines, and collaboration with local scholars is desirable. Scholars may pursue their own research or host-designated projects, teach undergraduate or graduate courses, mentor students, and assist with faculty, curriculum, or program development.
The program promotes mutual understanding between the United States and Uruguay through academic and cultural exchange. Scholars may give public talks and engage with the host community alongside their primary work. Combined teaching/research projects normally divide time equally, with adjustments based on host needs. Professional projects support professional development and the wider field through activities such as consultations, residencies, performances, exhibitions, and exchanges of expertise.
