    Description

The Allan Crawford Memorial Travel Award is administered by the New Zealand Society of Animal Production (NZSAP) to facilitate research across the wider field of animal genomics. Its scope includes gene discovery, gene function studies in physiology, and gene inheritance studies in animal breeding. Financial grants support conference travel and the acquisition of new technical skills, with particular emphasis on technicians and research associates.

The award prioritises technical staff visiting overseas laboratories to learn new skills and attending conferences in Australia. It is supported by the Allan Crawford Memorial Travel Fund, established with funds from the AgResearch Animal Genomics Platform and invested to generate income for awards.
