Key Information: Only teams of at least two eligible alumni may apply; U.S. citizens cannot be lead applicants but may join teams.
Description
The Public Diplomacy Section of the U.S. Embassy Tegucigalpa invites applications for the 2025 Alumni Engagement Innovation Fund (AEIF). This program funds teams of alumni from U.S. government-sponsored exchange programs to design and implement projects that address key challenges in Honduras. The fund aims to leverage alumni expertise and networks to create innovative, community-based solutions aligned with U.S. foreign policy priorities.
Projects must address at least one of the following themes:
- Reducing the causes of illegal migration
- Fostering economic growth
- Promoting entrepreneurship
- Promoting the application of U.S. technology and innovation
- Promoting education and the English language for economic development
Since 2011, AEIF has supported nearly 500 alumni-led projects worldwide.
