Description
The Alzheimer’s Association Clinician Scientist Fellowship for All supports the training of licensed, practicing clinician scientists conducting research on Alzheimer’s disease and all other dementias. Clinical fields may involve patient contact, such as neurology, psychiatry, geriatrics and psychology, or patient-related diagnostic studies, such as neuropathology and radiology. Research is not limited to patient-oriented studies: eligible work includes basic science, translational studies, clinical research, psychosocial investigations and technology development.
Projects may address disease mechanisms, biomarkers, therapeutic targets, epidemiology, neuroimaging, care interventions, health services, outcomes or health equity. The program emphasizes mentoring and diverse perspectives as ways to address scientific gaps. Researchers from underrepresented groups are encouraged to apply. Each fellowship combines a research and training plan with mentoring, professional development and benchmarks supporting dissemination of results.
