The Administration for Community Living’s Alzheimer’s Disease Programs Initiative (ADPI) supports the development and expansion of dementia-capable home and community-based service (HCBS) systems. Through cooperative agreements, the program promotes quality, strengths-based services that help people living with dementia and their caregivers remain independent and safe in their communities.
The opportunity has two options. Grants to States (Option A) supports designated state agencies in building sustainable dementia-capable systems, improving access, and providing innovative services. Grants to Communities (Option B) supports existing community-based HCBS providers in strengthening their systems by addressing service gaps for people living alone with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias (ADRD), individuals aging with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and family caregivers needing behavioral symptom management support.
