Description
The ARRL Foundation administers Amateur Radio Grants to provide limited funding for organizations undertaking amateur radio projects and initiatives. The program particularly supports education, licensing, and activities that sustain and expand amateur radio participation. Youth-based projects and initiatives are especially encouraged.
The Foundation favors projects with a high likelihood of continuing or expanding and demonstrated support from local amateur radio communities or clubs. It also prefers organizations that have successfully raised other funds before submitting a proposal, rather than relying on the Foundation as the sole funder. Proposals are considered through three annual application cycles, with review by the Grant Committee and a formal vote by the full Foundation Board.
