The American Epilepsy Society (AES) Postdoctoral Research Fellowships support postdoctoral trainees investigating the causes, treatment, and consequences of epilepsy under the guidance of an experienced epilepsy research mentor. Proposals are welcomed across basic, translational, and clinical epilepsy research. The fellowship provides one year of stipend and travel support to the AES Annual Meeting, along with one year of AES membership.
The fellowships are part of AES’s early-career funding portfolio, which supports the development of the next generation of epilepsy investigators. Through this portfolio, AES aims to help emerging researchers pursue innovative ideas and build the preliminary data, publications, and momentum needed to compete for larger federal funding opportunities.
