The American Headache Society (AHS), in collaboration with Pfizer, supports quality improvement initiatives and research to advance headache medicine and improve the lives of people affected by migraine and other headache disorders. The program seeks widely applicable tools and measurable improvements in patient safety, clinical effectiveness, timely diagnosis, and equitable, patient-centered treatment.
Recent grant cycles have focused on headache and migraine care in adults and on migraine and women’s health. The women’s health cycle sought collaborative projects that advance scientific understanding, improve patient outcomes, and address gaps in care. The adult population cycle emphasized real-world innovations that improve care quality and accessibility. Diversity, equity, and inclusion have also featured in the program through the populations served, questions addressed, and project teams.
