The American Laryngological Association (ALA) Post-Graduate Member Research Grant supports basic, translational, or clinical research in laryngology. Projects should address the pathogenesis, pathophysiology, diagnosis, prevention, or treatment of diseases, disorders, or conditions of the larynx and related structures and topics.
Projects must yield useful information within the award period. Priority goes to innovative research with potential to develop into long-range or expanded programs capable of attracting other funding. The ALA also encourages proposals introducing knowledge or methods from other disciplines into laryngology or neurolaryngology, and collaborative work with related disciplines. The ALA Research Committee reviews applications and recommends awards to the ALA Council for approval.
