Description
The American Legion Child Welfare Foundation (CWF) supports research, programs, and activities that contribute to the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual welfare of children and youth. Funded work must directly benefit children in the United States, its territories, and its possessions, with potential to reach children nationally or across a large geographic area.
The Foundation supports programs organized around specific objectives within a defined period. Research may involve investigation or experimentation to discover and interpret facts, revise accepted philosophies, or develop new or revised theories benefiting children and youth. CWF maintains a broad approach to child welfare and does not allow any single field, such as health or social research, to dominate its grantmaking.
