The American Meteorological Society (AMS) Graduate Fellowship Program supports outstanding students entering graduate education in atmospheric and related oceanic or hydrologic sciences. The program helps first-year graduate students learn about challenges facing the world and prepare to tackle real-world issues after graduation. It is part of AMS’s broader scholarship and fellowship offerings, supported by members, corporations, and government agencies.
Fellows receive an academic-year stipend, partial support to attend the AMS Annual Meeting, and ongoing academic and career support from AMS. At the meeting, fellows participate as special guests with access to exclusive events. AMS encourages applications from women, minorities, and students with disabilities, groups traditionally underrepresented in these fields.
