    Description

The American Meteorological Society (AMS) administers Senior Named Scholarships to help outstanding students complete undergraduate education in atmospheric and related oceanic or hydrologic sciences. Sponsored annually by AMS members, the scholarships are established in memory of loved ones or to honor individuals’ contributions to the sciences. The 2027 awards are intended for current juniors entering their final undergraduate year in fall 2027.

All scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic excellence, with some carrying a particular focus appropriate to the named honoree. Beyond financial support for education, recipients are invited to attend the AMS Annual Meeting during their senior year, with partial support for attendance.
