Description
The America’s Ecosystem Restoration Initiative, administered by the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF), provides streamlined support for voluntary conservation and ecosystem restoration projects throughout the United States. The program consolidates funding from federal agencies and private partners to empower applicants to develop projects that address habitat restoration, ecosystem and community resilience, conservation workforce development, improved access to nature, and habitat connectivity. By simplifying the application process, the initiative enables impactful, multijurisdictional projects spanning public, private, and Tribal lands. Projects are encouraged to align with existing conservation plans and may incorporate Indigenous Knowledge.
