Description
The Arizona Governor's Office of Youth, Faith and Family (GOYFF) administers federal AmeriCorps State and National funding through two processes: State Formula grants selected through a state-level Request for Grant Application (RFGA), and National Competitive grants determined at the federal level. The grants enable organizations throughout Arizona to engage AmeriCorps members in evidence-based or evidence-informed work that expands their capacity to meet community needs.
Supported work spans disaster services, economic opportunity, education, environmental stewardship, healthy futures, and veterans and military families. Arizona programs address needs including opioid misuse prevention, domestic violence trauma, access to post-secondary and vocational education, homelessness, conservation, senior independence, and youth mentoring in literacy and STEM.
