Description
Mayo Clinic’s Anatomic and Clinical Pathology Residency in Jacksonville, Florida, prepares trainees for independent pathology practice, further fellowship training, and American Board of Pathology certification. Training combines a tertiary care facility with local community partnerships, exposing residents to practice settings relevant to careers in academics, private practice, public health, and research.
Residents participate in patient care, education, and research with individualized mentorship and career planning. The four-year AP/CP curriculum includes two months of research and ten months of electives, allowing residents to develop interests in diagnostic expertise, practice models, laboratory management, and research. Training also includes digital and computational pathology and artificial intelligence, with graduated responsibility throughout the program.
