    Description

The Barclay-Smith Travelling Fund is run by the Anatomical Society to help members studying for a higher degree, or in the early years of their careers, attend the Society’s Winter and Summer meetings. It supports meeting participation rather than a standalone research project. The Society’s Prizes and Awards Committee and Council oversee the awards, which are offered through five application rounds each year.

Support is linked to a conference abstract: applicants can apply once their abstract has been submitted, without waiting for acceptance. Any award or payment is conditional on the abstract being accepted. The fund’s award history documents participation at meetings across the UK and Ireland, with reports, photographs and posters accompanying many recipient entries.
