Key Information: Supervisors must meet Society membership requirements; one studentship is reserved for an early career investigator.
The Anatomical Society offers a limited number of Research Studentships supporting postgraduate research in anatomical and related sciences, including anatomical education research. Awards provide maintenance, approved tuition and college fees, and research-cost support for students working towards a doctoral degree. Studentships are normally held in university departments in the UK and Ireland whose work includes anatomical sciences. Applications come from prospective supervisors.
One studentship is reserved for an early career investigator and assessed separately from regular submissions. This route places greater emphasis on project design and the training provided than on the investigator’s track record, while retaining the programme’s expected proposal standard. Both full-time and part-time studentships are supported.
