Description
The David C. Herriman Fund, administered by Greater Cincinnati Foundation (GCF), provides responsive grants to regional performing arts organizations. Its purpose is to continue support for the tri-state arts community and, in Herriman’s words, “make possible what otherwise would be impossible.” The fund considers both small and large arts organizations and limits its grantmaking to support of the arts within Greater Cincinnati’s eight-county Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana region.
David Herriman established the fund in 1986. Following his death in 2017, it received a large portion of his estate and was restructured to facilitate responsive grantmaking. At the fund’s Advisory Committee’s request, GCF issues a Request for Proposal to solicit applications.
