Description
Mayo Clinic’s Anesthesiology Critical Care Medicine Fellowship in Jacksonville, Florida, develops physician leaders through clinical training, mentored research, and education. Administered by the independent Department of Critical Care Medicine, the program emphasizes multidisciplinary collaboration, innovation, and care of highly complex critically ill patients. Fellows train in cardiac, surgical, medical, and neurological intensive care, with substantial exposure to transplantation, ECMO, mechanical circulatory support, complex respiratory failure, and severe shock.
The fellowship includes structured training in critical care ultrasound, transesophageal echocardiography, and quality improvement. Faculty mentorship, lectures, grand rounds, journal clubs, and teaching opportunities complement clinical work.
