Description
The Animal Welfare Endowment is administered by the Grand Traverse Regional Community Foundation through its Fall Grants program. Its mission is to reduce animal suffering and build community awareness so that animals are treated with kindness, understanding, and respect. The endowment provides ongoing support to animals and animal rescue organizations in the five-county Grand Traverse region.
Supported work includes rescue and rehabilitation, emergency and life-saving veterinary surgeries, foster program aid, spay and neuter services, trap-neuter-release programs, and education. Eligible organizations serve Antrim, Benzie, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska, or Leelanau counties, or the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians.
