Description
The Marion J. Siegman Lectureship Award, administered by the American Physiological Society (APS), recognizes an early-career or established researcher who has made outstanding contributions to understanding muscle contraction and motility. It honors the recipient’s scientific contributions rather than supporting a separately proposed research project.
The recipient is invited to deliver a 45-minute lecture on their research at the American Physiology Summit and is expected to publish a research or review article based on that lecture in an APS journal. These presentation and publication components share the honored work with Summit attendees and journal readers. A selection committee chooses the recipient.
