Description
The American Anthropological Association’s Annual Meeting Childcare Grant helps parents with dependent children attend its Annual Meeting by offsetting childcare expenses. The program gives attendees flexibility to arrange care at the conference location or at home. It is a membership benefit for AAA members who participate in the meeting in person.
Support focuses on the cost of care rather than the attendee’s own participation expenses or the child’s travel. Eligible costs include babysitting and airfare or hotel expenses for a caregiver accompanying a child to the meeting location. The Association reimburses documented eligible expenses after the meeting, rather than providing advance funding or distributing funds on site.
