The American Musicological Society (AMS) offers Annual Meeting Registration Waivers to support international participation in its online Annual Meeting. These waivers are intended for individuals residing in countries with a per-capita Gross Domestic Product (GDP) below $41,000, as determined by the latest World Bank data. The program aims to remove financial barriers for scholars and attendees for whom the US dollar-denominated registration fee would be a significant obstacle, enabling broader global engagement in musicological scholarship. In 2026, up to 100 waivers will be awarded, allowing recipients to attend the online AMS Annual Meeting (November 14–15 and 19–20, 2026) at no cost.
