Description
The American Musicological Society (AMS) offers Annual Meeting Registration Waivers during years when its annual meeting is held fully online. The program supports international attendees for whom a US dollar-denominated registration fee may create an unduly high financial barrier relative to prevailing wages and prices in their home countries. Recipients receive a full registration-fee waiver, enabling them to register for and attend the online meeting without paying that fee.
The support is for meeting attendance rather than a separate research project or travel. Eligible individuals may attend as presenters, chairs, or non-presenting attendees, and AMS membership is not required. In years when the meeting takes place in person, AMS instead offers separate travel grant programs.
