The Annual Meeting Research Award (AMRA) is a supplemental merit award funded through Conquer Cancer, the ASCO Foundation, for presenters with high-ranking research at ASCO’s Medical Student & Resident Research Forum. It supports U.S.-based medical students and residents submitting oncology research, combining financial assistance for meeting attendance with complimentary ASCO Annual Meeting registration.
The Research Forum offers an intimate poster-presentation setting where students and residents can practice their research skills and network at the Annual Meeting. ASCO’s independent Medical Student/Resident Programs Review & Selection Group scores and ranks applications using consistent criteria, with the highest-scoring applications funded. The award recognizes research merit while enabling recipients to participate in this presentation opportunity.
