Annual Meeting Travel Grants
AMS Annual Meeting Travel Grants help scholars and students with limited resources attend the Society’s annual meeting to engage in musicological research and professional development.

Funding Amounts: Up to $350 (within North America) | Up to $500 (outside North America) | Supplemental $500 for eligible undergrad/terminal master’s students (total up to $850)

Description
The Annual Meeting Travel Grants are designed to help American Musicological Society (AMS) members and eligible students with limited or no institutional travel support attend the AMS annual meeting. The program primarily assists non-affiliated scholars, those with insufficient institutional funding, and students interested in pursuing careers in music studies. Grants are available for both in-person and online meetings, with supplemental support for undergraduate and terminal master’s degree students.
