Description
The AO Foundation, through AO CMF, offers short-term international fellowships for promising young surgeons dedicated to craniomaxillofacial surgery. Fellows learn from leading AO CMF experts at carefully selected host centers worldwide, combining clinical practice, education, and collaboration. Placements last six to eight weeks, and the program supports 75–85 fellowships annually.
The program aims to deepen surgical understanding, extend knowledge and skills, and connect fellows with AO CMF’s global community. Host centers collectively cover the full scope of CMF surgery, including trauma, oncological and microvascular reconstruction, orthognathic surgery, cleft and pediatric syndromic surgery, craniofacial procedures, implants, aesthetic surgery, temporomandibular joint surgery, and 3D virtual planning.
